A self-Occupied property is a property which is used by the taxpayer for his own residential purpose. If a taxpayer has occupied more than one property for his residential use, then only one house is considered as self-occupied and others are considered as Deemed to be let out. If a taxpayer uses his property for business and profession, then income from such property is not chargeable to tax under House Property.
