Well, you cannot claim HRA exemption without your landlord’s PAN, it is an important and mandatory document for claiming HRA Exemption. You need the PAN of your landlord if your annual rent exceeds Rs. 1lakh, in case he/she doesn’t provide this document to, you will have to ask your landlord to provide a declaration to you, which will have his/her name and address on it.
